Venice Design was founded in 1976 to create the furnishings
and decor of the Italian Room at the Palais Berlaimont in Brussels,
designed for the E.E.C. by the architect Piero Mainardis de Campo.
In 1986 Venice Design decided to open in Venice, exhibiting
sculpture, painting, graphic work and design, first at San Samuele
and later in 1990 at a second gallery in calle Vallaresso.
